Android Tips and Tricks you probably didnít know about

Android is a very common operating system. It is packed with a lot of features, hacks, and time-saving tricks.

But are you aware of your phone or tablet? Sure, you can make phone calls, install applications, and listen to music, but we will discuss the things which you werenít aware of.

Enable Developer Mode-

Okay, this is one of the more well-known tricks, but it's still significant, so we'll add it.

Go to Settings > About phone and tap seven times on your phone's build number. A countdown will appear onscreen, followed by the message "Congratulations, you are now a developer."

Change the Animation Speed-

The latest Android phones, for the most part, are already highly responsive. Some lower-end phones, on the other hand, only have 4GB of RAM, and in some cases, only 2GB.

Change the Window animation scale, Transition animation scale, and Animator duration scale on your phone from 1x to 0.5x. It won't actually speed up your phone, but it will make it feel faster.

To access the appropriate choices, go to Settings > System > Developer options and scroll about two-thirds of the way down the screen (you'll need to enable Developer Mode first).

Clear App Defaults-

It's difficult when a link opens in a specific app instead of the browser. Whether it's a YouTube link, a tweet, or a Facebook page, you'll find yourself waiting while your phone shuts down Chrome (or your preferred browser) and launches something else.

It's a simple repair.

Find the app that keeps opening under Settings > Apps and notifications. Select Advanced, scroll down to Open by default, press it, and then Clear Defaults.

Quickly change your Wi-Fi Network-

Surprisingly, there is no visible way to easily switch between Wi-Fi networks. Sure, you may alter it in Settings > Network and internet > Wi-Fi, but surely there must be a faster way?

There is, indeed!

Swipe down twice from the top of your screen to reach the Quick settings menu, then tap-and-hold the Wi-Fi symbol instead of pressing it (which disables it). You'll be given a list of all the networks in your area right now.

Quickly access the quick settings menu-

Did you know that you don't have to double swipe to go to the Quick settings menu?

Instead, a two-finger swipe will produce the same result.

Cast your screen-

Do you have a Chromecast? If that's the case, you can use the cast function to effortlessly mirror your Android screen (and specific apps).

Simply select Screen Cast from the Quick Settings menu. If your device is connected to the same local network as your Chromecast, you're ready to go.

It's ideal for playing games on a bigger screen, displaying images to family and friends, and listening to music through louder speakers. Many apps, like YouTube, have their own dedicated cast button for even simpler access.

Locate Annoying Notifications-

Do you also keep getting an annoying app notification, but you are not aware of the fact which app is causing it?

There is an easy solution- just long-press the notification and you will get to know.
